It's that time of year again! This post needs an update! And I am happy to say that there are SO MANY NEW PLUS SIZE DRESSES!!!! I could just fall apart over how amazing the selection is this year!

I've got a thing for dresses. You could say we've been going steady for awhile now. It's getting kind of serious. And as much as I would really really love to do an outfit of the day for every dress I own (or desperately want to own), there's just not enough time to do so. So I figured a nice little round up of my favorite dresses would be a great way to show you all the options currently out there! Below my favorite dresses are a few pointers for shopping (online) while looking for plus size dresses, make sure you check 'em out! They now have a "fit guarantee" which means that even if you custom order one of their pieces you are able to return it and have it altered. I'm a big fan because they always carry adorable patterns, like this dress with watermelons on it, and serve bodies up to a size 36. Shopping tip: pay close attention to whether or not the item is woven or knit. Their knit items are plenty stretchy, but you'll want to size up on any items that are woven.

Plus Size Ditsy Floral Print 90's Dress From Target

Alright, everyone knows that the 90's are back. If you're not ready to go full force and put your hair in those tiny flower clips, a little ditsy floral print will do in a pinch. Lots of stretch, and this dress goes up to 4x!

I sometimes forget that my favorite department store has a huge plus size section. But not this time!!! Macy's has dresses from high end designers, and tons of affordable options too. This striped dress is a classic cut that would be perfect for work or play. Sizes 1-3x.

The Perfect White Dress From Eloquii

Nothing looks more sleek than a white dress in the spring time. Imagine running through the prairie with this gorgeous frock on – puff sleeves blowing in the wind! Eloquii's sizing has changed a lot over the years, and they have really nailed their fit. Their garments are beautiful on plus size bodies, and go up to size 28!

Full of color and life, just like the spring flowers that are right around the corner! Modcloth's signature line is switching from their traditional xl-4x sizing in favor for a numbered size chart and we are here for it! Better fit, better choices means better options for fat babes! If casual Spring dresses aren't your thing and you just desperately need a little something extra then this sparkly number is for you. It's lightweight, airy, and will look stunning sparkling in the Springtime sunshine! Up to size 24.

A couple things to keep in mind while shopping for plus size dresses (especially online):

• It's ok if it doesn't fit! Check the store's return policy before you buy. Remember that if you're shopping online that means you aren't in a fitting room getting anxious and having someone ask how you're doing every 5 seconds. That's pretty awesome and a trip to the post office to return something is well worth the time you're getting back from not going to stores and trying on a million things.
• Get a measuring tape, and check the size chart. If you are uncomfortable taking your measurements because you're not weighing or measuring yourself, that's ok. You don't have to. Your measurements do not matter and you can return anything you don't like.
• Speak softly to yourself. If you get uncomfortable trying stuff on just sit down and take a breath and move on with your day. It's just clothes, they do not define your worth. You are perfect whether that dress fits your backside or not.
